Editorial policy and corrections
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Our standards
- Accuracy first. We would rather publish later than publish something wrong.
- Clarity. Plain English and Urdu, short sentences and the key facts at the top.
- Fairness. Where people or groups disagree, we report each side's position accurately.
- Usefulness. Every story should help a reader understand or decide something.
Sources
We prefer primary sources — government notifications, the State Bank of Pakistan, the FBR, OGRA, universities and boards — followed by established news organisations. Every article lists its sources with links. We attribute figures to the organisation that published them and do not present reports from others as our own reporting.
Numbers and rates
Gold, silver, currency and fuel rates are reported as published by their source, with the date. Rates can differ by city, dealer and time of day, and bullion rates do not include jewellers' making charges. Worked examples, such as loan instalments, are labelled as illustrations.
Research and images
Our desk uses research and writing tools to find information and prepare drafts. Nothing is published on a tool's say-so: facts, figures, dates and names are checked against the sources listed with each story before it goes live. Header images are graphics that show the story's headline, not photographs of real events.
Independence and advertising
Our stories are not influenced by advertisers. Links to Soft2Cloud's own free tools are added where they genuinely help readers. Any sponsored content will be clearly labelled "Sponsored".
Updates
When a story develops we update it and show an "Updated" date at the top.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, email info@soft2cloud.com or message us on WhatsApp +92 370 6353528 with the page link and what is wrong. We check every report, correct confirmed errors as quickly as possible — usually within one working day — and note the change at the end of the article.
